• Hoboken Girl’s Holiday Market Raises Over $5000 for Scholarship Fund

    Written by:

Over 500 people came out to celebrate the season and give back at our first ever Hoboken Holiday Market at the W Hotel in Hoboken. Local vendors {all local boutiques and Etsy shops!} displayed their most festive and fun pieces, and 100% of proceeds from ticket sales went to the Dustin and Daniel Friedland Scholarship Foundation for local Hoboken High School Students — which raised over $5000. We are just blown away by the support, and so we’re sharing a photo recap of some of the holiday cheer. A big thanks to our sponsors W Hoboken, CarePoint Health, and La Marca Prosecco. All photos below by Will Ferman.

    From L-R:

Hoboken Girl Founder Jennifer Tripucka, Deanna Friedland, and Hoboken Girl Events Coordinator Kate Lombardo.

The night raised $5000 for Deanna’s charity fund that will help Hoboken High School students go on to higher education.

Some of the HG team, vendors, + holiday market attendees:

So much shopping, so little time. And more of our amazing vendors:

Thank you to all who came out, sipped, shopped, and had a festive evening. We so appreciate it! If you weren’t able to attend and donate, you can donate directly to Deanna’s Go Fund Me for the scholarship here.

Stay tuned for more Hoboken Girl Helps events, coming soon.We already can’t wait till next year! xo

Jen is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Hoboken Girl. She started the site to discover and share the wealth of things happening in Hudson County. Her roots in the area extend to her maternal grandparents, who owned two textile factories in Weehawken and North Bergen. When not planning the next Hoboken Girl event/volunteer project or editing her life away, she can usually be found shopping at local boutiques, eating an Insta-worthy meal, walking her French bulldog + rescue pup, or watching the latest murder doc on Netflix with her husband.
