If you’ve been stuck at home furloughed or unemployed during this pandemic, you’re not alone. While stay-at-home orders have been crucial to flattening the curve of the Coronavirus, a lot of people have been struggling to stay afloat financially. We know a lot of readers have been scouring the internet for work opportunities listed online, and now that things are starting to open up, employers are looking for employees, and job seekers are looking for work — as well as potentially wanting to offer their services freelance. To make your search easier and to help connect our community on both sides to opportunities, we’ve created a job board for all of our readers and business owners to get all the latest local jobs listings — complete with jobs available by businesses in NJ, NY, and of course — across Hudson County. On our Jobs Listing site, all the latest job listings that have been posted locally are reflected to-the-day, and you can sort the jobs by location, industry, date posted and desired hours. 

For the location, the site allows you to apply filters regarding which cities you’d like to search within. Whether you’re looking to work in Hoboken, Jersey City, anywhere in Hudson County, or beyond, the site makes your search much easier.

In terms of hours, users can refine their job search by part-time positions, full time positions, seasonal jobs, or internship opportunities. The site also allows applicants to choose between nearly 20 different industries.

The Candidates Page is a section on the job board where you have a chance to feature yourself and your resume. Being seen by employers on this page increases your odds of landing a new job opportunity or freelance gig.

While applying to any job on the site is always free, there is a small fee of $25 monthly to house your resume on our site with a profile for 30 days at a time. This will live on the site and be perused by anyone that clicks the Candidates page

If you decide after 30 days to let your profile expire, your data will be saved but no longer live on the site.

For employers looking for employees, it’s easy to post your job on our Job Listings page. You must create a profile, add a logo, and describe the job/fill out the form to create it. How much does it cost to put myself as a candidate on the Hoboken Jobs Board?

It costs $25.00 to list your profile as a candidate on the Hoboken Jobs Board for a 30-day time period. Your resume will live on the site for 30 days, and 5 days prior to expiration, you’ll receive an email to renew or let the listing expire.

Why should I list myself as a candidate on the Hoboken Jobs Board?

Once a job seeker applies to a job posting on the Hoboken Girl Jobs Board, they will receive a confirmation email informing them their application has been sent. If the employer of the job posting would like to move forward in an interview process, the employer will then reach out via the contact information provided on the applicant’s profile or resume.

Where will my job be featured?

Your job will be featured on our newly launched Job Board on HobokenGirl.com. On average, Hoboken Girl has 145K-200K monthly readers. In 2019, Hoboken Girl had 1.3 million unique readers and 3 million pageviews, and in 2020 we have already hit the 2 million pageview mark by May 2020.

How long will it take for my job to be on the Job Board after I submit?

Once submitted, allow 1-2 business days to process. Our team reviews each posting before it goes live to maintain job board quality.

Will I get a receipt?

Yes. After your job posts, you will receive a confirmation email with your receipt, the date your job post expires as well as the direct link to your job post.

To see all your transactions, click the My Account Tab on the User Dashboard, and then click “Transactions” Box on the left-hand side.

How much does it cost to list my job posting on the Hoboken Girl Jobs Board?

It costs $75 per job posting on the Hoboken Girl Jobs Board, but we also have discounted packages for bundled job postings that you can use at a later date.

Is there a discounted rate for posting multiple jobs? 

Yes. We currently offer discounted package rates for employers who wish to post multiple jobs on the Hoboken Girl Jobs Board. The discounted package rates will appear during the checkout process after you have created your first job listing. Job packages are non-refundable.

How long will my job be on the Job Board?

Jobs are live on the board for 45 days.

Can I link my job post out to another site?

Yes. In the Post New Job Tab, under “Job Apply Type” you can select ‘External URL’ and type in the URL to link out to if you prefer candidates to apply through your site.

Do I have to provide a logo for my listing?

Yes. We do require a logo for every job post.

What are the next steps after I find an application/resume that I am interested in for my job posting?

The Hoboken Girl Jobs Board was created to connect local Hudson county job seekers and employers through job postings. Hoboken Girl does not facilitate any other communication between job seekers or employers.

When employers receive prospective applications that they are interested in for their job posting, it will be up to them as the employer to contact the job applicant(s) via the contact information provided in their profile or resume if they would like to move forward with the application process.

What do I do if my job gets filled before it expires?

If you fill the job before your listing expires, you can leave the current post up and continue to receive job applicants and save for the future or you can edit/change the current job listing for another position while posting is still live.

Please note, there will be no refunds, or prorated charges for the job listing if you fill the job before the posting expires.

Can I make edits to my job post after I submit?

Yes. Just log into your account and click the “Manage Jobs” Box on the left-hand side. Locate the job posting you would like to edit, and then click the grey, pencil icon in the right-hand corner of the Job Listing.

What if I forgot my password?

No problem! Just go to the User Login Page and click the forgot password link to reset.
