A once-popular Hoboken food festival is returning to the Mile Square for the first time in over 20 years. The last Feast of Saint Anthony was in 2003, but on June 14th and June 15th, 2024, the block party + food festival is back on Jefferson Street with food vendors, a beer garden, live music, and entertainment. The family-friendly event is hosted by St. Francis Church and is completely open to the public. The History
From 1996 – 2003, the Feast of Saint Anthony was a hot-ticket item in the Hoboken community. The festival was organized by St. Francis Church and celebrated St. Anthony of Padua, a reverend saint to the parish because construction for the church first started on June 13th, 1888 — the Feast Day of St. Anthony.

The Feast of Saint Anthony had a successful seven-year run here in Hoboken, but according to the team, “schedules, timing, and life,” got in the way, making it difficult to continue the tradition. For years, the team dreamed of resurrecting the feast and reconnecting with the greater community. Over 20 years later, the dream is coming to fruition.
Event Details
Festivities officially kick off on Thursday, June 13th, with a mass and procession of the St. Anthony statue (an old-school tradition where church members carry the statue around the neighborhood). The block party will take place over Friday and Saturday on 3rd Street between Jefferson + Adams.
Hoboken residents can expect local vendors, a beer garden, games, and a DJ. There will be plenty of food stations to indulge in: pasta + meatballs, BBQ (cheeseburgers, hot dogs, cheesesteaks, etc.), sausage + peppers, sandwiches, and fresh mozzarella. Familiar faces will be present too — some local vendors include Hoboken Historical Museum, Merry Hot Cocoa, Tastebuds Tacos, Angelo Seafood Market, and San Giuseppe Coal Fired Pizza, among others.
The festival is completely family-friendly and open to the public. Locals can stop by on Friday from 3PM – 10PM and on Saturday from 1PM – 10PM. You can find more details here.
