• Hoboken Dog Rescue: Lorelai Gilmore of See Spot Rescued {Needs a Home!}

    Written by:
    We’re so excited to be featuring pups from See Spot Rescued on a regular basis, the local animal rescue in Hoboken and Jersey City {and NYC sometimes!,  that helps to find forever homes for pups of all sizes, ages, and kinds.
    Today we have a special little lady that is in need of a loving home. Meet witty “mom and B&B owner” Lorelai Gilmore. Lorelai is a 1.5-year-old Cattle Dog/Terrier mix who weighs about 40 pounds, but she’d like a family who will help her lose a few of those pounds. This sweet, spotted girl is a happy, playful pup who really is the total package. {Editor’s note: I ran into Lorelai outside of Hoboken Pet last weekend, and she truly was so sweet. She came right up to me to be pet, was very friendly with everyone who passed by — and looks so much smaller in person!}

    Lorelai is great with dogs of all sizes — in fact, one of her favorite things to do is cuddle with her four-legged foster siblings. She’s even good with kids. She’s also already housebroken and crate-trained, knows how to sit on command — perfect for those Friday night dinners at the Gilmore mansion {aka your Hoboken/JC abode}! Lorelai Gilmore is spayed, micro-chipped and up-to-date on vaccines.

    See Spot Rescued has a single purpose, to provide a permanent loving home for every homeless dog. SSR is a non profit 501(c)3 volunteer based dog rescue organization which strives to make the best possible match between the family and the dog, based on previous history, breed, and experience. The organization focuses on saving dogs from high kill shelters. No matter their age, breed, or health, no matter what they need – extensive vetting, surgeries, experienced dog owners – they can rest assured we will care for them.

    See Spot Rescued is an all volunteer non-profit 501(c)3 rescue organization – and is NOT a shelter facility — rather, it is all volunteers whom also work full time jobs, regularly juggling our time coordinating the ongoing rescue, vetting, transport and adoption of multiple dogs at once. All dogs rescued from the shelter are vetted at the organization’s expense. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. In all cases they also de-worm and de-flea their dogs. In all cases if the dog faces serious illnesses we have also fully treated them no matter the medical expense.
