The City of Hoboken announced via a press release that they have expanded COVID-19 testing options for Hoboken residents and Hoboken business employees. Over 3,000 testing appointments will be offered this week, with 12,000 appointments anticipated for January.

Mayor Bhalla encouraged anyone who gathered indoors with others over the holiday break to get a COVID-19 test at least 5-7 days after the date of the gathering, to avoid the chance of an inaccurate result. If you have symptoms, you do not need to wait 5-7 days.

“The best way to prevent further spread of COVID-19 following the holidays and New Year’s is to get tested if you gathered indoors with multiple households, even if you don’t have symptoms,” said Mayor Bhalla via the press release. “We have made it as convenient as possible to get tested, with an appointment-based system to minimize wait times and eliminate long lines. I thank our testing providers for partnering with us to increase these options for our residents and business employees as we prepare for the potential of a post-holiday surge in cases.”
