Ramadan is now in full swing, a time in which Muslims around the world practice spiritual reflection, fasting, and prayer. Many practicing Muslims also prioritize consuming halal food, which refers to dishes prepared + served in accordance with Islamic dietary laws. Luckily, there are plenty of spots in the North Jersey area serving up delicious halal options — some of which serve exclusively halal food. For a convenient (and delicious) way to break the Ramadan fast, we’ve rounded up a list of local spots with halal food.

This all-halal restaurant serves Italian food at reasonable prices. Favorites include the paninis and the crispy chicken pizza with ranch and buffalo sauce. They have a special menu for Ramadan as well.

This newly opened halal restaurant is getting praise for its delicious Pakistani dishes. During Ramadan, they offer a Sahoor buffet, beginning at 2 am. You can also order from the catering menu, which includes dishes like chana masala.

These restaurants provide a delicious and convenient way for Muslims to break their fast during Ramadan while also enjoying a diverse range of halal food options.
