All About the Seminar Events
This annual Family Essentials Seminar was recently revamped and put back on the calendar thanks to The Hoboken Dads Group, The Law Offices of Tejas Kapadia, Ashish Chowdhry of Nundhi Group at Mass Mutual, and Brian Murray of The Murray Property Group at Compass New Jersey. The seminars will focus on different financial topics including life insurance, wills and estates, + college savings. The workshops are free and open to all residents — just make sure to reserve a seat as registration for the event is required to attend.
“The first misconception is that everyone has a plan,” Brian Murray told The Hoboken Girl. “They don’t and that’s why we are here to educate the community.”
The groups represented at the seminars have joined forces to help create a financial workshop that will benefit families with children. Tejas Kapadia, ESQ will be focusing on wills and estates as well as other legal matters while Ashish Chowdhry of Nundhi Group at Mass Mutual will be sharing his knowledge and experience on life insurance and college savings plans.
“We’ve brought in experts to give the community important knowledge on hard subjects, free expert advice, and even a basic will if they need it,” Murray explained.
The partnership comes as a collaborative effort and helps prepare families for life’s important milestones.
“My goal is that every parent has a will, protection for their family, and a smart plan to pay for college,” shared Murray when asked about his hopes for the seminar, which will cover these three topics:
Ashish Chowdhry of Nundhi Group at Mass Mutual will discuss 529 Plans and insurance products that act as savings accounts. Chowdhry will also touch upon alternative long-term investments that are available for college savings, such as real estate syndications and investment properties.
Chowdhry will also discuss the different types of life insurance and how much you’ll need to cover different costs such as college, mortgage, and living expenses. He will expand on building a graduated protection plan and leveraging it as an asset. He will also discuss the best time to get life insurance and how to make sure you are getting the most out of your policy.
Tejas Kapadia, ESQ of The Law Offices of Tejas Kapadia, is prepared to conduct a hands-on workshop that focuses on wills, estates, and living trusts. Participants will leave the seminar with a basic, notarized, and executed will.
Hoboken Dads Group
The seminars are brought to the community through the Hoboken Dads Group. This local organization is a group started by the HOPES preschool dads’ group more than 15 years ago. The group is dedicated to building a sense of community through service to the children and parents who live in Hoboken. It is a forum where local dads can share their parenting experiences with each other. All dads (and moms, too) are welcome to join.
Don’t forget to reserve your seat to attend the free seminar events hosted by The Hoboken Dads Group this April, as registration to attend the events is required.
The seminar events will take place on April 20th at 4PM and 7PM at MOJO Coffee, located at 800 Bloomfield St., as well as on April 22nd at 10AM at the Compass Office, located at 258 Newark St. in Hoboken.
