Cold weather making it easy to hibernate ALREADY? Ugh, we know the feeling. Alas, there is good news: getting to the gym is truly the hardest part.  Since winter is here, indoors is where it’s at for a workout — but you don’t want to get bored {or pay $1000s to do so} — so we have the perfect solution: Crunch Fitness. Located a skip and a jump away from your {cold} commute at 110 River Street, it’s easy to go before or after work. Crunch is a big space, which is awesome when you’re trying to put some “zen” into working out. There really is room for everyone, and they pretty much have any machine you’d want to use for cardio: Precor Trainer, Elliptical, Stairmaster, and rows on rows of treadmills. Looking for a more weight-intensive workout? There are two rooms filled with free weights, medicine balls, kettlebells, and weight machines. Decisions, decisions…

It’s no secret that working out is hard, but it doesn’t have to be boring. Crunch’s personal trainers are available on-staff to help you at any time of day, and the gym itself offers so many different types of classes throughout the week {ranging from various spin classes, barre, toning of all kinds, zumba, yoga, and a [tough + fun] class designated for athletes}. Certified group fitness instructors teach all the classes and obviously can make modifications for your individual needs.
