Early Career NJEA members of the Hoboken, North Bergen, Secaucus and West New York Education Associations can engage in some friendly competition during Trivia Night at Pilsener Haus this Thursday while munching on delish apps {+ a complimentary drink}. No worries – on Thursday evening, Lidia Arshavasky of JC Strategic will be hosting a guided workshop at Indiegrove Workspace {121 Newark Ave} that’ll help prepare you for applying to your dream job – so BYOR {Bring Your Own Resume, of course} and learn some of the best tips + tricks for creating one impressive resume.

Format Fun at Birch: Friday, March 24th from 4:00 PM – 4:00 AM

Birch has a seriously eventful weekend in store: start off with burgers and shakes, followed by $5 beers, well drinks & shots during happy hour from 10-11 PM.  Carlos Melange will be DJing, so you’re pretty much guaranteed to be shaking it on the dance floor all night with your squad {BTW– no cover!}. This Friday, Cathedral Hall’s monthly concert series is back with a handful of NJ/NY-based bands that you simply must check out: Adam & The Plants, Kult of MaryCR & The Degenerates, Guilty Giraffe, and Rosey Bengal. Add some shabby-chic to your living space by attending DIY Uncorked’s workshop this Friday night – and create your very own industrial pipe shelf to house your favorite framed photos, memorabilia, knick-knacks, books, etc. You can add up to as many shelves as you’d like and customize your paint/stain {up to two people can work on one project together}. The SPERANZA Theatre Company is holding a workshop for children ages 3-6 this weekend at Charles & Co. in downtown Jersey City: the perfect opportunity for your youngsters to get up off the couch + get active {and get out all their energy – you’re welcome, mommas}.
