Happy Thursday, Hoboken and Jersey City! It’s not only time to prep for the weekend, but today is the first official day of summer {and boy, does it feel like it}. The heat has arrived and there are a ton of Hoboken, Jersey City + beyond events happening this weekend to keep you busy {and cool} — from the New York Red Bulls Summer Kickoff to yoga training to the State Fair, the list is endless. New York Red Bulls Summer Kickoff + Fireworks Night — Saturday, June 23rd at 6:00PM

The New York Red Bulls are hosting a special game against FC Dallas this Saturday to kick off summer that includes a special fireworks show following the game. The event will take place at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ {600 Cape May Street} which includes a beer garden and other fun activities. Tickets range from $24-$84. Purchase tickets here.

Asana Soul Practice’s 200HR Yoga Teacher Training Q+A + Free Class — Sunday, June 24th at 11:45 AM

If you’re interested in becoming a yoga teacher, Asana Soul Practice is hosting a free yoga class followed by a 30-minute Q+A session to answer all of your questions this Sunday. If you can’t make the class, you can get to the studio at 12:45 for the Q+A. Teacher training begins in September and lasts for 10 consecutive weekends and is yoga alliance-certified. In order to get the early bird rate of $2900, applications and deposits for teacher training are due on July 1st. To sign up for the free Q+A session happening this weekend, click here.

In Full Color, the annual theatrical event that shares stories by women of color will take place Thursday, June 21 at 8:00PMFriday, June 22 at 8:00PMSaturday, June 23 at 8:00PM, and Sunday, June 24 at 3:00PM. This year’s event will feature a diverse cast from New Jersey, New York, Maryland, California, Minnesota, and Texas. Learn more info here.
