16 Events Happening Labor Day Weekend 2018 in Hoboken + Jersey City

The last weekend of August has arrived, but instead of dwelling on the summertime sadness, we’re sharing a ton of events happening this {long} weekend in Hudson County. If you’re hangin’ around for the holiday, read on for 16 things to do in Hoboken + Jersey City this Labor Day weekend {August 30th – September 2nd, 2018}:

Jersey City Whiskey and Craft Distillery Fest — Saturday, September 8th

Snap Fitness JC

Jersey City Whiskey Craft Distillery Fest is back for 2018 and is happening on September 8th at the Harborside Atrium. This not-to-be-missed event will feature over 100 styles of spirits and attendees will have the opportunity to meet the distillers, master blenders, and other experts. There are two session times to choose from — Session 1: 2:00PM-5:00PM or Session 2: from 7:00PM-10:00PM. Call Me Old Fashioned at the W Hotel —  Thursday, August 30th from 5:30PM-7:30PM

The W Hotel in Hoboken {225 River Street} is hosting a speakeasy-style event featuring live music, custom cocktails, and happy hour specials. Admission is free but you must register here.

Open Mic Night at Hudson Coffee in Hoboken — Thursday, August 30th from 7:00PM-10:00PM

This free open mic night will feature board games, food, activities for kids, and of course, coffee. The event will take place at Hudson Coffee, located at 1100 Maxwell Lane in Hoboken.

Turtle Club Farewell Party — Thursday, August 30th from 7:00PM-2:00AM

The Turtle Club is officially closing its doors Thursday night and is saying goodbye to Hoboken with a farewell party. The party will include live music and a live DJ set. More info here.

Zeppelin Hall Special Tapas Menu Begins — Thursday, August 30th through Sunday, September 16th

Zeppelin Hall in Jersey City is bringing something completely different to their menu — Spanish tapas. Executive Chef Franco Robazetti will be whipping up a bunch of tasty small plates beginning on Thursday and lasting until September 16th. See the menu here.

November Project New York Fitness Class in Hoboken — Friday, August 31st at 6:30AM

The November Project is a free fitness movement that aims to motivate and encourage people to be active. Enjoy a pop-up workout at Pier A Park in Hoboken this Friday morning.

Hudson County Latino Foundation Book Bag and School Supplies Giveaway in Jersey City — Friday, August 31st from 2:00PM-4:00PM

This event is free for all Hudson County residents. Children will receive a free book bag and school supplies for the new school year {but must be present to receive}.
