New York Red Bulls 5v5 Game at Sinatra Park in Hoboken — Saturday, June 30th from 2:00PM-6:00PM
Test your soccer skills at Sinatra Park field in Hoboken in a 5 vs 5 game presented by Hospital for Special Surgery. Besides playing on the field, you will have the opportunity to learn the best recovery tips from HSS’ certified physical therapists. Register here. Participants must be 18 and older.
Official Toronto vs. New York Red Bulls Viewing Party at Mulligans Hoboken — Sunday, July 1st at 3:30PM
The New York Red Bulls is also hosting a viewing party for their game against Toronto that will feature complimentary food and a giveaway for the first 100 fans who come to watch. The event will take place at Mulligans in Hoboken {159 1st Street} and is only open to those 21 and older. Click here for more info.

The Lutze+ Jersey City 50 Star Fire Show — Wednesday, July 4th from 12-10:00PM
The Lutze is teaming up with Jersey City to bring the best 4th of July celebration on this side of the Hudson. The 50 Star Fireshow Experience will be held at Exchange Place in Jersey City from noon until 10:00PM. The event will feature a full-scale carnival, entertainment, several beer gardens, and a wide mix of food trucks. World-renowned fireworks company Grucci will be lighting fireworks from multiple barges on the Hudson River. Snoop Dog will headline the evening along with other musical entertainment throughout the day. Attending the event is free and food and drinks are available for purchase.
Party With Purpose 5K — Tuesday, July 17th
Party With Purpose’s 5K is not your traditional 5K race as it is an all day {+ night} event that offers fun for everyone. This race is one of the biggest in Hoboken and will benefit several local charities including the Boys + Girls Clubs and the Jubilee Center. The actual race time is 7:00PM but kids can participate in their very own race at 3:00PM. Whether you are running or not, all are invited to the after-party {free for runners, $5 entry otherwise} with $5 drinks. Hoboken Green Team Meeting at the Hoboken Public Library — Thursday, June 28th at 6:30PM
The Hoboken Green Team will be meeting at the new Hoboken Public Library basement to discuss New Jersey Solar Challenge and how residents can get involved, plus other local issues.

Dietician Elisabeth Holtzer from the Shoprite of Hoboken will teach children {ages 4 and up} about easy food preparation. The event is free and no registration is necessary.

Pokémon GO Fest is Coming to Jersey City This June
Gotta catch 'em all! Good news for Pokémon fans — the 2025 Pokémon GO Fest locations were recently announced, and it's coming to Jersey City this summer. Details are slim as of now, but what we do know is that Chilltown's Pokémon GO Fest will take place from June 6th through 8th, 2025. Read on for what we know so far about Jersey City's first-ever Pokémon GO Fest happening in 2025.
The Details + About Pokémon GO Fest
Pokémon GO shared via its website on Monday, January 6th that the annual Pokémon GO Fest will be taking place in three locations this summer 2025 — all of which are different than last year's locales.

This year's festivities will include a Jersey City Pokémon GO Fest — happening from Friday, June 6th through Sunday, June 8th, 2025. The exact location has yet to be announced, but this post will be updated with any further details. Per the website, ticket details and more information will be released in March.
Pokémon GO Fest's will also take place in two other cities for 2025. The Osaka, Japan event will run from Thursday, May 29th through Sunday, June 1st. The Paris, France fest will happen shortly after the Jersey City one from Friday, June 13th through Sunday, June 15th. This will be the first time that Jersey City and Paris will host Pokémon GO events.
A global Pokémon GO event normally takes place following the individual events — stay tuned to the website for more details on that.
In 2024, the events took place in New York City, Sendai, Japan, and Madrid, Spain.
Pokémon GO Fest orginated in Chicago, Illinois in 2017 and has since expanded across the world. The events have become a popular way for Pokémon fans to connect with others and explore. Per Dexerto, the fest involves physical events in specific cities that are set across multiple days, all followed by a global event where everyone can participate. Previous Pokémon GO Fests have included the debut of new Pokémon and forms. Locals can expect a day of adventuring to find all of the different Pokémon's Jersey City has to offer through the mobile game.
The mobile game Pokémon GO stems from the Japanese media franchise, Pokémon, which consists of the ever-popular trading card game, various video games, animated series and movies, and more. Per Pokemon.com, Pokémon are "creatures of all shapes and sizes who live alongside humans." Some of the most popular Pokémon include Pikachu, Charizard, Mewtwo, and over 1,000 more.
