It’s finally Thursday which means it’s just about time to take a much-needed weekend break. To help you get started early, we’ve got your events guide all ready to go — whether you’re looking for adult, family, or kid-friendly fun. Read on for all of the events happening in Hoboken and Jersey City this weekend {and beyond}:

New York Red Bulls 5v5 Game at Sinatra Park in Hoboken — Saturday, June 30th from 2:00PM-6:00PM

Test your soccer skills at Sinatra Park field in Hoboken in a 5 vs 5 game presented by Hospital for Special Surgery. Besides playing on the field, you will have the opportunity to learn the best recovery tips from HSS’ certified physical therapists. Register here. Participants must be 18 and older.

Official Toronto vs. New York Red Bulls Viewing Party at Mulligans Hoboken — Sunday, July 1st at 3:30PM

The New York Red Bulls is also hosting a viewing party for their game against Toronto that will feature complimentary food and a giveaway for the first 100 fans who come to watch. The event will take place at Mulligans in Hoboken {159 1st Street} and is only open to those 21 and older. Click here for more info.

The Lutze+ Jersey City 50 Star Fire Show — Wednesday, July 4th from 12-10:00PM

The Lutze is teaming up with Jersey City to bring the best 4th of July celebration on this side of the Hudson. The 50 Star Fireshow Experience will be held at Exchange Place in Jersey City from noon until 10:00PM. The event will feature a full-scale carnival, entertainment, several beer gardens, and a wide mix of food trucks. World-renowned fireworks company Grucci will be lighting fireworks from multiple barges on the Hudson River. Snoop Dog will headline the evening along with other musical entertainment throughout the day. Attending the event is free and food and drinks are available for purchase.

Party With Purpose 5K — Tuesday, July 17th

Party With Purpose’s 5K is not your traditional 5K race as it is an all day {+ night} event that offers fun for everyone. This race is one of the biggest in Hoboken and will benefit several local charities including the Boys + Girls Clubs and the Jubilee Center. The actual race time is 7:00PM but kids can participate in their very own race at 3:00PM. Whether you are running or not, all are invited to the after-party {free for runners, $5 entry otherwise} with $5 drinks. NJ Symphony Orchestra at Maxwell Park — Thursday, June 28th at 7:30PM

The NJ Symphony Orchestra is a world-renowned orchestra that comes to Hoboken’s waterfront annually to perform. Thursday is the night! Enjoy an evening of live music on the waterfront with NYC as the backdrop {as the orchestra plays a range of music from classical to Bruce}. Concert is FREE, we just recommend coming early to snag a seat {or BYOC[chair]}.

Hoboken Green Team Meeting at the Hoboken Public Library — Thursday, June 28th at 6:30PM

The Hoboken Green Team will be meeting at the new Hoboken Public Library basement to discuss New Jersey Solar Challenge and how residents can get involved, plus other local issues.

Dr. Park Avenue Pop-Up IV Therapy Services — Friday, June 29th from 3:00PM-9:00PM

The New Jersey One-Minute Play Festival (#1MPF) returns for The 8th Annual New Jersey One-Minute Play Festival! 1MPF is the country’s largest and longest continually running community-engaged theatre project, aimed at exploring local topics, ideas, trends, and seeding conversations for, by, and about artists and citizens of NJ. Cooks and Books at the Hoboken Public Library — Friday, June 29th from 3:15PM-4:30PM

Dietician Elisabeth Holtzer from the Shoprite of Hoboken will teach children {ages 4 and up} about easy food preparation. The event is free and no registration is necessary.
