It’s been a hot week in Hudson County folks! Hopefully, you’ve been able to stay cool in the AC and are ready for some fun weekend events. If you’re itching to get back outside and enjoy normal summer weather, check out the list below for in-person and outside fun. Hudson River Cup Hosted by  Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse

Join Ke Aloha Outrigger and Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse for the 4th Hudson River Cup Race. The Hudson River Cup is the first outrigger canoe, SUP, and sea kayak races of their kind on the Hudson River along the Hoboken Shore. They welcome elite and experienced paddlers willing to take on the challenge of the Hudson River and New York Harbor against the dramatic backdrop of the Manhattan and Jersey City Skyline against the shadow of the Statue of Liberty. Outrigger canoes {OC1/OC2} and surf skies will race out and back to the Statue of Liberty {8-miles}. Stand up paddleboards and kayaks will race out and back to Colgate Clock in Jersey City {5-miles}. Jojo also loves Hoboken and is a big fan of the Jubilee Center. Seeing the need for a cool sneaker store in Hoboken and combining that with his ongoing commitment to support the Jubilee Center, Jojo had the idea to create a

The ADA is an important civil rights law for disabled people but it doesn’t ensure meaningful access. Meaningful inclusion and access only exist if organizations engage in disability justice. Disability Justice is a framework that examines disability and ableism as it relates to other forms of oppression and identity. There will be a discussion on the way arts organizations can implement “open access” and open up conversations regarding these topics.
