If there’s one thing we love in Hudson County, it’s our pets. Our pets are our best friends, companions, and all-around cuddle buddies. Of course, although there are plenty of furry friends around town that have great homes, there are still a number in need of a good family. Two pups that are currently looking for the forever home are Phoebe and Rain — a bull terrier mix and hound mix, respectively. Get to know these pups below and see if they are the perfect fit for you and your family.

This fun, playful, and loving doggo would make the perfect addition to a family with other dogs. She loves other dogs and making friends with them + their human companions. Phoebe is super affectionate {she;s got a signature tail wag + wiggle combo that she does when she’s excited} and loves to cuddle up next to someone for a relaxing nap. She also enjoys playing with toys, but is a respectful pup who will happily give her toys over to you if you ask for them.

Phoebe is also potty-trained and knows the commands “sit,” “paw,” and “down.” Although she does pull a little bit when she is on her leash, she walks well when is in a harness.

And for families with children, fear not, as Phoebe can live with children ages 10  and up and “would love to have some furry and human siblings to play with.”

About Wise Animal Rescue

Both Rain and Phoebe are up for adoption through Wise Animal Rescue. This animal haven is located in New Jersey and is a foster-based organization dedicated to rescuing dogs for every breed and age to ensure that they are cared for and placed in a loving home.

The organization also works with veterinary practices to help nurse any dogs in poor health back to good health and help save dogs’ lives. According to the organization’s website, the central mission of Wise is to, “ensure that all dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on shots, and microchipped. Prior to adoption, all of our dogs are placed into responsible loving foster homes to be socialized and trained rather than put in a shelter environment.”
