• Adoptable Pets of the Week: Mecca & Hello Kitty

    Written by:

It’s the holiday season, and do you know what would be the most wonderful gift for that special animal-lover in your life? An adorable adoptable from Liberty Humane Society! Both of the following cuties are available at LHS in Jersey City. Give a pet a home this season!

    Mecca

Mecca was surrendered to the shelter when her owner became gravely ill. She’s a young dog and a playful and energetic gal. Mecca has really wonderful manners – she walks with barely a tug on leash, listens attentively to her handler, and can do a “sit” and “down” on command. This is one very well-behaved pup who will walk beautifully through the neighborhood with you.

Mecca would do best in an active household; she loves love retrieving balls and squeaky toys when they are thrown, so it’d be great to have a human friend who wants to run around and play with her. Mecca would be a perfect exercise buddy!

Mecca tests well with older children, and shares all of her food, toys, and treats easily, and would make a nice addition to a family.

Be prepared to meet the “coolest cat” at Liberty Humane. My name is Hello Kitty because when you see what a great looking boy I am that will be the first thing you say. If I had to use one word to describe myself it would be fun and that is exactly what we will have when you adopt me. I LOVE to play and I think that wand toys are the best thing since window perches. I am very energetic and will keep you laughing for hours with my silly antics. After play time I love to relax and take it easy and enjoy some well-deserved kitty treats. I am full of personality and when I tilt my head and open my big gold eyes no mortal can resist me. Everyone at Liberty Humane loves playing with me and saying “Hello Kitty” when they see my paw sticking out but it is time I find my forever home, and if you adopt me you will find your forever friend.
