Adoptable Pup Junior: A Pit/English Bulldog Mix

Written by:

Meet Junior! This 2-year-old Pit Bull Terrier/English Bulldog mix stole Wise Animal Rescue workers’ hearts at the Newark municipal shelter when he was surrendered to the shelter about two months ago. He is available to adopt now and here is some info about him:

While weighing about 65 lbs, Junior is short and stocky, much like a bulldog. He snorts from time to time and his tail rarely stops wagging and he absolutely loves when people pet him. He also enjoys sitting right in your lap, especially if you are willing to provide head scratches.

Junior is great with other dogs and can live with children 10 and up due to his size and random bursts of energy. He walks great in a harness, only pulling when he sees a dog he’d love to play with.

Junior enjoys playing with a tennis ball and has no problem giving it right back to play more. His favorite toys are any with stuffing—he trots around his foster dad’s house proudly showing off his collection! He is not destructive when left alone. He is also learning basic commands and working on potty training. Junior is food motivated and will enjoy training with you.

He is truly a goofball with so much love to give and, not to mention, an expert cuddle buddy. Junior would love to hide from this cold weather and snuggle up with you instead.
