    Written by:

Meet Yeppi, a two-year-old Shiba Inu/Korean Jindo mix, in need of a good home. Reader Rosalie got in touch with us to let us know about this sweet rescue looking for a family to call her own. This girl is up for adoption and would be a great addition to any family + great company, too.

Currently weighing 30 lbs, this pup was rescued for the Korean dog meat trade this year and brought to New York. Since then, she’s been a part of the Brooklyn-based rescue group, Korean K9 Rescue.

The organization is a non-profit that saves dogs from the dog meat trade in South Korea. Due to a stigma associated with mixed breed dogs and “dog meat farms,” chances of adoption for rescues are low. So the Korean K9 Rescue brings the pups to the US to help them find a loving home.

She is a curious-but-cautious dog and is currently being fostered in Hoboken with foster sis, @KonaFromKorea. She absolutely loves the Mile Square and enjoys exploring all of the sights. She is definitely an outdoor enthusiast and would love an adopter who would enjoy taking her on long walks and outdoor adventures.
