Adoptable Dog: Ricky, 4-Year-Old Pit Bull Mix

Written by:

If you’re searching for the perfect sized dog {pretty big, yet still just the right size for your Hoboken apartment} — look no further than Ricky! This 4-year-old mix is just barely 50 pounds and is full of love to give. Ricky is Wise Animal Rescue‘s newest adoptable dog, and we’re sharing all the info you need to consider making him part of your family:

Ricky came to Wise Animal Rescue as an owner surrender after his owner had to make the very hard choice to give him up. Unfortunately, the other dog in the home attacked Ricky multiple times and they could no longer live together. Even though Ricky has been through so much, he is still the sweetest dog ever {as you can see in his adorbz pics}.

Ricky loves nothing more than a nice walk and a long cuddle session on the couch and is one of the friendliest dogs the rescue has ever seen. His entire body wiggles when his tail wags and he has never met a person he doesn’t love — ummmm stop…so cute!!

This handsome guy is also obsessed with tennis balls {you can frequently find him carrying one around in Columbus Park with his foster dad}. Ricky would do best in a home that has a dog walker or a doggy parent home more often than not as he much prefers to be with his people than without them.

Ricky gets along with other dogs but has never been around cats. He’d do best in a home with slightly older children due to his occasional zoomies {random bursts of energy}. This pup is also crate AND potty-trained, making your life that much easier. Ricky is also up-to-date on shots, neutered, and microchipped.

If you’re on the hunt for a dog who wants nothing more than your love, apply to adopt Ricky today!
