Adoptable Hoboken Pup: Cosmo {The Handsome Husky-Pit Mix}

Written by:

Cosmo is a swoon-worthy, 1-year-old Husky/Pit mix rescued by Wise Animal Rescue from our local animal shelter, Liberty Humane Society. Found as a stray, Cosmo came into the shelter afraid and unsure of his surroundings, but since entering his foster home, he has blossomed into an ultra-friendly, happy boy!

This tall, gray handsome pup weighs about 70 lbs and has the most beautiful gray eyes. Cosmo is being fostered right in Hoboken so, if you see him around, stop him and say hello! Have another pup at home? He is currently living with another large male and would do GREAT in a home with another dog. He has also lived with a smaller female and loved living with her too.

Cosmo’s foster mom is a fantastic trainer and Cosmo knows all of his basic commands — he is potty-trained and walks perfectly in his harness. His foster family was also able to determine that he’d really enjoy agility training because his favorite activity while out on his walks is to jump on and off the park benches. He’s a real athlete!

Cosmo’s previously life was not the best and the rescue assumes he spent much of his time locked away in a crate. As a result, everything is new and exciting to him. He is a very fun dog who loves to go out and do and learn new things. Eager to please his foster family, he is a great listener and has been a joy to take on long walks and car rides.

Due to Cosmo’s size and puppy tendencies, he would do best in a home with children 10 years or older. His foster mom is unsure of how he would do in a home with cats, but he can always be cat-tested to see! If you’d like a fun, happy, loving dog, then look no further than Cosmo!
