Living right on the Hudson certainly has its perks. From easy access into the Big Apple and gorgeous views of the Manhattan skyline, we are lucky to have such a perfect spot right in the heat of it all. One of the best parts about living here is that we have a front row seat to the best Independence Day fireworks shows in the area, with pyrotechnic shows happening all around the river on Thursday, July 4th. From festivals to dinner cruises to live entertainment, the 4th of July will be an extravagant day, and as always, won’t cease to impress locals and visitors from all over. 50 Star Fireworks Show with Pitbull + Akon in Jersey City at Exchange Place Plaza {Jersey City}

Yes, you read that right. Confirmed by Mayor Fulop himself, Pitbull and Akon {along with a series of other live performances} will be taking the stage over at Exchange Place Plaza in Jersey City for the 4th of July, followed by fireworks. Free for all too attend + running from 12:00PM-10:00PM, festive guests can party all day long down in JC.

Akon is scheduled to perform at 6:30PM, followed by Pitbull at 8:00PM.

Once Mr. 305 himself finishes his performance, stay to catch New Jersey’s largest fireworks display at 9:30PM sharp on the Hudson River. Beyond the performances + the 4th of July fireworks in Jersey City, food trucks, drinks, and more will also be available at the event. Anheuser-Busch will also be delivering cold brews to different bars in the area as part of the I Love Beer Festival. Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks {East River, NYC}

Macy’s will be hosting its annual 4th of July celebrations live from the Brooklyn Bridge this year and, as always, it will be spectacular. Though the fireworks will be going off from the Brooklyn Bridge, they will be visible from downtown Jersey City, especially the more south you go {even though JC is having a celebration of its own}. You can find a cozy spot at the top of the Stevens campus to catch the extravaganza, if you can find space.

This year, Macy’s will be celebrating American Cinema with music from some of the most famous movies of all time. Jennifer Hudson {yes, you heard that right} will be performing some classic movie hits, including “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” and the fireworks show will be accompanied by the Hollywood Scoring Orchestra. State Fair Meadowlands {MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford}

The State Fair Meadowlands will be up and running this year through July 7th, and on July 3rd and 4th, guests can enjoy the fair as well as a fireworks show later in the evening. The fair opens at 2:00PM and the fireworks will be going off after 10:00PM both nights. Bring chairs and your family to enjoy a spectacular show right at MetLife Stadium. Parking will be available on the grounds for $5 per car. Check the website regularly for updated information regarding the fair and firework shows.

Spirit Cruises Independence Day Fireworks Dinner Cruise {Departs from Lincoln Harbor, Weehawken}

If you are looking for an evening on the Hudson, Spirit Cruises will be hosting guests for the 4th of July. The boat will board at 5:30PM {and will cruise from 6:00PM-11:00PM} right in Lincoln Harbor in Weehawken and will make its way around the Hudson River throughout the night. Packages for dinner, an open bar, entertainment, and fireworks can be purchased and upgraded here. Guests can gather together to witness the spectacular fireworks on the East River right from the boat. Sounds like the perfect romantic evening or night out with friends.

Circle Line Fireworks and Dinner Cruise {Departs From Pier 83, NYC}

Circle Line is another awesome option to eat, drink, and cruise around the Hudson and East River on the 4th of July. This cruise will travel down the Hudson River, around the tip of Manhattan, providing gorgeous, unparalleled views of One World Trade and the Statue of Liberty, as well as the spectacular Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks on the East River. The ship begins boarding at 5:15PM and will travel around from 6:00PM-11:00PM that evening. Enjoy dinner and drinks on one of the most well-known cruise lines in the area.

4th of July Hudson Catamaran Cruise {Departs from Liberty Marina, Jersey City}

Grab some of your closest friends + family {six of them, to be exact} and hop on this private luxury catamaran tour around the Hudson River. Guests can bring their own food and beverages along to enjoy while watching the most gorgeous firework shows on the 4th of July.

The Crown Rooftop 4th of July Fireworks Party {50 Bowery Street, NYC}

Celebrate the 4th of July over at The Crown Rooftop with views of NYC + the Brooklyn Bridge fireworks. Guests must be 21 years old or older, and the event will feature live DJs + more. Buy tickets for this spectacular event here.

Independence Day Celebration at Cadillac Cantina {80 River Street, Hoboken}

Celebrate the 4th of July a day early this year at Cadillac Cantina. On Wednesday, July 3rd, Cadillac Cantina in Hoboken will be hosting an epic Independence Day Celebration with a taco eating contest, drink specials, and more. Find out more info about this epic celebration here.
