We have another store closing to report in the Mile Square — Makeovers, located at 327 Washington Street, will be closing its doors in December 2018. This local beauty spot was a hair salon and full-blown beauty store selling hair products as well as popular makeup products, owned and operated by local Hoboken resident Peter Sarlo. Read on for what we know about the salon and beauty store as well as some of the things you can find there through the end of the year:
Makeovers’ original location was at 302 Washington Street, but they closed that location recently, moving to 327 Washington Street where they offered the same services that their loyal customers always loved. Now, if you walk by you will see sale + closing signs {50% off everything, btw}. Makeovers also had locations in Bayonne and Summit, and Hoboken was the last location standing.
There’s a decent amount of products in-store to stock up on — we bought some hair supplies, tweezers, faux eyelashes, shampoo + conditioners. They also have hair extensions, hair dye, and other name-brand makeup and hair products. Since everything is 50% off, you’ll be able to stock up on all your favorite beauty items.
“We won’t be stocking up on any new products, but the store will be open until December with deep discounts,” a rep shared with HobokenGirl.com. She also explained that Peter will still be selling product to other salons in the area even after the storefront is no more.
